I’m Janette (pronounced Janet) and I am so excited you are visiting my little corner on the internet! My pronouns are she/her/ella.

I'm a bilingual Chicana artist, educator, and recent graduate from USC Rossier's Master of Education in School Counseling program.

I believe we need to address the inequities in society through all possible means (education, performing arts, politics, etc.). That’s why you may experience whiplash as you scroll through the pages of this website that range from me performing in summer Shakespeare festivals to my time working as an Advance Associate for the Obama Administration. I specifically work with projects that support historically marginalized communities. Let's work together towards an equitable future.
